Sarasota is a small city located on the Florida Gulf Coast that is known for its vibrant art community and sense of craftsmanship. This can be seen in the various work from local artists and through the various galleries that are open around town.

The islands with a coastline that borders the Gulf of Mexico are home to 35 miles of beautiful beaches that are perfect for all types of recreational activities. There are plenty of hotels, residential areas, and commercial properties around the bay.

Sarasota offers something for everyone. Take in the sun along our beautifully-white sand beaches. From fine dining, to enriching arts and culture, down to the shopping district of your choice. We have something that will spark your interest. Siesta Key Beach Voted #2 Beach in the USA by Trip Advisor 2022

Siesta Key Beach was voted #1 beach in the USA by Dr. Beach in 2017.  The beach is lined with quartz white sand.  The softest sand your feet will absolute love.  Siesta Key Beach has a pavilion with snack bar and bathrooms.  The beach also has picnic areas with grills and ample parking.  A great getaway to a slice of paradise.

Mote Laboratory and Aquarium

Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium is a family favorite.  The aquarium is home to manatees, sharks, alligators, other sea creatures and a bird sanctuary that has hundreds of different birds.  There is so much to see at Mote and you can even touch some of the sea creatures.  The bird sanctuary is amazing and home too so many different birds that you will be certainly be surprised.  The owls are amazing to watch.  The otters are also a favorite.  They will even greet you and put on a show for you.  Don’t miss out on this amazing experience.

Ringling Museum

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art is located right here in Sarasota and receives many visitors every year. The museum was once the home of John and Mable Burton Ringling  established in 1927.  The museum was taken over by Florida State University in 2000, making this one of the largest university art museums in the country. This is also a great place to visit. Also, add the Ca’d’zan to your admission ticket. You definitely don’t want to miss out on the beautiful scenes on and from the terrace, Some refer to it as the Terrace of Dreams.

Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall

The Van Wezel’s Performing Arts Hall has been an archtectural landmark in Sarasota since it was originally built in 1968-1969.  The Van Wezel was named after a philantrohic couple Lewis and Eugnia Van Wezel and located on Sarasota Bay.  This theater has been a venue for many performances of all types, concerts, and community meeting place.  Check out their lineup of artist, actors, and other performing arts on their website.

Big Cat Habitat

Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary is an awesome place to spend a few hours with your family.  The Big Cat Habitat is recognized as one of the largest animal rescues in Eastern section of Sarasota County.  The sanctuary was founded in 1987, and is the home to dozens of exotic animals, as well as a place for animals in need. Big Cat Habitat find it important to educate the public about animal care and conservativism. Big Cat Habitat is truly a labor of love.
